They

Gave me gold cage, with gold chains;
Priceless kind words, and intuitive face;
Polished blooming wings, before they cut;
Screamed of numbness,
since the price was too much.

Told me darkness was my heart and home;
Dreams were just facades and fall:
Wander the moon, die alone up there;
Build castles, die alone in there:
But kill the light, you become the light;
You don't want the light, you don't know the light.

Pushed me in there, I was just learning to walk;
Bred fury weapons, my words at fault.
It's a game they say, you can't win any way;
Chirp your gospels flightless,
they are here to hear every day.

Fear the echoes, you dusky storm;
They can bring you back alive,
for you to just feel the pain.
Stars may tingle, your head with madness;
But you'll buy the dead ones,
in the name of thankfulness.

I guess they won,
since I shoot at myself;
Stay up, endure shard and loose myself:
I jiggle like clown,
in their circus called crown:
My dreams are seized,
My words, nameless.
But no one's wildest dream
came true this night;
The cage they built,
caught rust,
and broke away.
