one pill

The waters were deep;
The clouds were dark:
I saw a rainbow;
And then watched it disappear:

The flowers were livening;
The butterflies, my fear;
I plucked away the thorns;
And they gifted them back to me:

There are clouds here;
Demons right behind me:
If I close my eyes;
Will they still stay?

Carried those rocks with me:
Tied with my feet, my throat;
My bitter aches:
You say it's just a mistake?

But if I scream,
monster will be my name:

So,
One pill;
For watering artificial flowers:

Two pills;
To numb this pain:

Three pills;
So I don't wake up chatting:

Four pills;
So I can breathe again:

And five pills;
To kiss dreams a goodbye.
